Modern Slavery & Child Labour Policy
Our commitment
Rad Trans Limited is committed to preventing child labour, slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour and human trafficking in our business and supply chains. This policy applies to employees, drivers and contractors. We expect the same standards from labour providers, subcontracted carriers and other suppliers.
Child labour and young workers
We will not employ anyone below the minimum school leaving age. We verify age and eligibility to work as required by law and do not accept false documents or another person’s identity. A person under 18 may only do work lawful and suitable for their age, training and experience, with appropriate risk assessment and supervision.
Forced labour and fair treatment
All work must be freely undertaken. We do not tolerate threats, coercion, debt bondage, recruitment fees charged to workers, withholding wages or identity documents, or restrictions on a person’s freedom to leave employment. Workers must receive pay, rest and other protections required by law.
Suppliers and subcontractors
We expect suppliers to comply with applicable employment, child protection and anti-slavery laws and apply these standards to workers and further subcontractors on Rad Trans work. Where concerns arise, we may ask about recruitment and working conditions and take appropriate corrective action, suspend work, end a relationship or refer a matter to authorities, while considering the safety of affected people.
Raising a concern
Contact a director at radu.c@radtrans.co.uk or +44 1827 949349. Share the facts you know; do not confront a suspected exploiter or put anyone at risk. We take genuine concerns seriously and do not tolerate retaliation for concerns raised in good faith. In immediate danger in the UK, call 999. The Modern Slavery and Exploitation Helpline is 08000 121 700.
Responsibility and review
The directors are responsible for this policy. We review it at least annually, or sooner if operations or risks change.
